Daisy Hill's Declan Baldwin is challenged by Maghull's Will Hoey
Daisy Hill are still searching for their first league win of the season in the North West Counties League First Division North after going down to a 3-0 defeat at Maghull on Saturday.
Daisy fell behind to an early Darren Brannigan strike, but gradually got a foothold back into a game that was a midfield battle for long spells.
But once Sam Smith added a second goal for the hosts with 20 minutes to go, they took control and a Harrison Worden penalty seven minutes from wrapped up the win.

Daisy got off to the worst possible start, conceding a goal after just four minutes.
A free kick into the box evaded attackers and defenders alike before landing in the path of Brannigan at the far post, who had the simplest of tasks to slot the ball past Daisy keeper Morgan Newns from close range.
Daisy’s first effort on goal came on 13 minutes when Kaiden Barlow tried his luck from 25 yards with an effort that cleared the crossbar.
The tall figure of Brannigan was always a threat to Daisy when balls were aimed into the penalty area, and he came close just after the half hour with a header from a Worden free kick that just missed the target.
