Sheppard bags brace to fire Daisy into next round of the cup

Daisy Hill advanced to the next round of the Edward Case Cup thanks to a Liam Sheppard brace against Ashton Athletic.

An excellent second half display from the Cutters booked their place in the next round of the competition leaving manager Nicky Hunt delighted with the players performances.

“To a man, all the players played really well tonight.

 “Looking at tonight's performance and last Saturday's performance, the players have shown me that they can manage games and manage conditions really well.

 “Ashton wanted to pass the ball and play it about, and they did that quite well in the first 15-20 minutes, fair play to them.
