Words and images intertwined on Saturday at The Hive Gallery in The Market Place, Bolton, as poetry echoed from the walls in celebration of the Let’s Talk About Text exhibition. Hosted by local poet Dave Morgan from Live From Worktown, with support from Julie Levy, Andy Smith and the gallery team, the event fused spoken word and visual art. A dynamic and powerful performance by guest poet Louise Fazackerley brought extra energy to an already vibrant evening.
With a mix of creatives in the audience, poets, painters, mixed media artists, and even journalists, the event broke down the often rigid, society-imposed boundaries between disciplines. It brought everyone together under one roof, united by a shared appreciation for expression in all its forms.
