Christine’s pilgrimage for the husband and daughter she lost to suicide

A woman from Chew Moor is walking 320 miles along the historic Camino Way in Spain in memory of her husband Dave and daughter Kelly, both of whom she tragically lost to suicide.

Christine Walsh hopes the journey will raise awareness around mental health struggles and encourage others to seek support. In a heartfelt message before setting off, she said: “My heart goes out to anyone who is struggling with their mental health, and I hope they will reach out for support to help them see that they deserve to be alive.”
