The Gates Primary School in Wingates burst into bloom last week with its first-ever Gates Green Festival — a vibrant celebration of sustainability, community and outdoor learning.

The event was the brainchild of the school’s passionate Eco-Action Team, who have already made a huge environmental impact by helping to plant an incredible 3,500 trees in a developing woodland area on the school grounds. Pupils, teachers and local groups came together to support the festival, which raised funds for ongoing eco-initiatives and showcased the school’s commitment to green learning.
