Scaffolding is set to go up as work begins on a £3.9 million restoration of Westhoughton’s historic town hall.
The Grade II-listed redbrick building, which dates back to 1903, will undergo major repairs funded by Bolton Council, including to its roof, clocktower, façade, guttering and drainpipes. The council chamber and other internal areas will also be refurbished to ensure the building can continue serving as a hub for civic and community life.
